Lash Lift
A lash lift is a semi-permanent cosmetic treatment that enhances the appearance of natural eyelashes. Unlike eyelash extensions, which involve attaching individual false lashes to the natural lashes, a lash lift lifts and curls the existing lashes, providing a natural and more wide-eyed look. Here’s a detailed overview of lash lifts:
How Lash Lift Works:
- Preparation: The technician cleanses the eye area and applies a gel pad to protect the lower lashes and skin.
- Lifting Solution: A lifting solution is applied to the lashes. This solution breaks down the disulfide bonds in the hair, allowing the lashes to be molded into the desired shape.
- Shaping: The technician then uses a silicone pad or shield to shape the lashes. The lashes are carefully lifted and attached to the pad using adhesive.
- Setting Solution: After shaping the lashes, a setting solution is applied to lock the lashes into the lifted position.
- Tinting (Optional): Some lash lift treatments also include lash tinting, which darkens the lashes, enhancing their appearance. This step is optional and depends on the client’s preference.
- Nourishing Solution: A nourishing solution or conditioner is applied to keep the lashes healthy and hydrated after the lifting process.
Benefits of Lash Lift:
- Natural-Looking Results: Lash lifts provide a natural, enhanced curl to the lashes, making the eyes appear more open and awake.
- Low Maintenance: Unlike eyelash extensions, lash lifts require minimal maintenance. There’s no need for daily curling or mascara, although these can still be applied if desired.
- No Damage to Natural Lashes: Lash lifts do not damage the natural lashes. They work with your natural lashes to create a lifted effect.
- Customizable: Lash lifts can be customized to achieve different curl levels, catering to individual preferences and eye shapes.
- Long-Lasting: The results of a lash lift typically last 6 to 8 weeks, which is the natural growth cycle of eyelashes. However, results can vary from person to person.
After Care:
- Avoid Moisture: For the first 24 to 48 hours after the treatment, it’s essential to avoid water, steam, or any moisture coming into contact with the lashes. This allows the lifted lashes to set properly.
- Avoid Oil-Based Products: Oil-based makeup removers and products can weaken the adhesive used during the lash lift. It’s best to use oil-free products around the eye area.
- Gentle Handling: Be gentle when cleansing and drying your face to avoid pulling or tugging on the lifted lashes.
- Avoid Rubbing Eyes: Avoid rubbing or touching your eyes excessively to prevent damage to the lifted lashes.

Pre & Post Treatment Advice
It’s important to take proper care of your body before and after your treatment.

- It will be necessary to perform a patch test at least 48 hours before therapy.
- Please arrive without eye makeup on.
Aftercare
- In order to maintain the shade of your freshly tinted lashes after your eyelash treatment:
- Do not touch or rub your eyes right after applying the colour.
- No swimming, saunas, or tanning for a whole day.
- After your treatment, wait at least 24 hours before applying makeup or getting any other eye treatments.
- To keep the colour vibrant longer, try to use facial products devoid of oil around the eye area.
- Apply a wet cotton wool if any redness or irritation develops. Seek medical help if symptoms last more than 24 hours.
